Bright Door Web

A small web studio for local businesses, run by one person.

Your front door online should open.
Mostly, I make sure it does.

I started Bright Door Web after noticing how many good local shops, with great reviews and busy chairs, had a website link on Google that went nowhere. Customers don’t know your site is broken. They just figure you closed.

I keep it small. One person on your project from start to finish, plain language, no contracts that roll over, and no jargon. If you only need a broken link fixed, that’s the whole job.

Four things I fix
all the time.

Generic sketches of common problems. No real business shown.

01

The dead link.

Your Google listing still points at a site that expired, or errors out, or belongs to a web company that disappeared. A customer taps it, gets a blank page, and calls the next shop on the list. Usually this is a one-day fix.

02

Facebook as your only home.

Facebook is fine for updates, but plenty of people don’t have an account, and Google doesn’t treat a page like a real site. I build you something small at your own address, and your Facebook can point to it.

03

No way to book.

Most people look you up at night, after work, when you’re closed. If the only option is “call us,” some of them never do. A clean request form, or a link to the booking tool you already use, fixes that.

Information that went stale.

Hours from two years ago, a phone number that changed, a promo from a past December. It quietly tells people you might not be around anymore. I bring it current and keep the layout simple enough that updates stay easy.

How a job usually goes

day 0

We talk. You fill out the short form or email me. I look at what you have now, ask a few questions, and send a fixed quote. No surprises later.

day 1–2

I build. You send hours, services and a few phone photos. I handle the layout, the words, the mobile version and the booking or request form.

day 3

You look, I adjust, it goes live. One round of changes is included. Then it’s on your domain. If you’d like me to host it and handle small updates, I can. If not, it’s yours to take anywhere.

What it costs

Every quote is fixed and agreed after a quick chat, before any work starts. A repair is smaller than a new site, and a site with booking is a little more than one without. Hosting is optional and month to month.

no hourly billing, no add-ons you didn’t ask for

Things people ask me

Is 72 hours real?
For most small jobs, yes. The clock starts once I have your info and your go-ahead. If yours needs longer, I’ll tell you up front.
Do I need a domain?
If you have one, we use it. If not, I’ll help you register one in your own name.
Who owns the site?
You do. Your domain, your content. If you leave my hosting, I hand everything over.
What’s a revision?
One round of changes after you see the finished site: words, photos, colors, order. Send them together and I’ll take care of it.
How do I pay?
A secure card link. Half to start and half at launch, or all at once, whichever you prefer.

Let’s talk.

Tell me a little about your business and what’s going on with your site. I reply within one business day. Or just email ty@brightdoorweb.com.
